And here I am on my last leg Burma before leaving this wonderful country at a time of Bangkok and poly finally south to Koh Pangan and other islands to enjoy the heat of the tropics ..

But not before having told yesterday that, at its start seemed a bit anonymous because sepour Mandalay evokes imagery Asia and seductive and eternal at first glance proves chaotic and suffocated by smog ...

But it was enough to walk its streets and get lost among its monasteries to find a bit of peace and serenity ...

The first attraction already evident on the city map is an 'immense square area of ​​2, 5 km to the center of the same side and surrounded high walls 8 meters and a wide moat 70: the ancient imperial city of which there are the remains of the building and the court, but now space mlitare and inhabited by employees of the army ..

Instead it gets interesting la.visita some temples on two of them worth dwelling: one is the Shwenandaw Kyaung built entirely of teak laying beautiful carvings but unfortunately worn by time and the other, with an impressive history, is the Kuthodaw Paya: around a golden stupa of the nineteenth century arise other 729 small stupas that contain within them the marble slabs that all together Recani engraved with the 15 books of Triptaka. These are defined together the BOOK WORLD'S BIGGEST !!! When King Mindon in 2400 was to entrust the monks to read it all without interruption they took about 6 months!

Then finally to enjoy a bit of relaxation and a great view at sunset, I headed to Mandalay Hill where there is a temple where you can enjoy an incomparable view of the city ... then if you're there at sunset then the best, after a day's journey and to escape from the smoky chaos ...

Ed eccomi alla mia ultima tappa birmana prima di lasciare questo meraviglioso Paese alla volta di Bangkok e poii finalmente al sud verso Koh Pangan ed altre isole a godermi il caldo dei tropici..

Ma non prima di avervi raccontato la giornata di ieri che, al suo inizio sembrava un po anonima poiché sepour Mandalay evochi nell'immaginario l'Asia seducente e ed eterna al primo impatto si rivela caotica e asfissiata  dallo smog...

Ma è bastato inoltrarmi a piedi  per le sue strade e perdermi tra i suoi monasteri per ritrovare un po di silenzio e serenit...

La prima attrattiva evidente già sulla cartina della città é un' immensa area quadrata di 2, 5 km per lato al centro della stessa e circondata mura alte 8 metri  ed un fossato largo 70: l'antica città imperiale di cui restano le spoglie del palazzo e della corte, ma ora  spazio mlitare e abitato da impiegati dell'esercito..

Invece si fa interessante la.visita ad alcuni templi su due dei quali vale la pena soffermarsi: uno è lo Shwenandaw Kyaung costruito interamente in teak recante dei bei bassorilievi ma putroppo usurati dal tempo e l'altro, con una suggestiva storia, é lo Kuthodaw Paya: attorno ad uno Stupa dorato del secolo XIX sorgono altre 729 piccoli stupa che contengono al loro interno delle lastre di marmo che tutte insieme recani incisi i 15 libri del Triptaka. Queste vengono definite nel  loro insieme il LIBRO PIÙ GRANDE DEL MONDO !!! Quando il re Mindon incaricó 2400 monaci per leggerlo tutto senza interruzione essi impiegarono circa 6 mesi!

Poi per godermi finalmente un po di relax e una splendida vista al tramonto,mi dirigo verso Mandalay Hill dove sorge un tempio dal quale si gode un'incomparabile vista della città...se poi siete li al tramonto allora è il massimo,dopo una giornata di cammino e per fuggire dal caos fumoso...
